Re: What browser are you using to browse I2P and why?

Oof, sorry. In my mind, using a privacy network with a spyware application doesn't make sense to me. And besides, I really don't like most of the things Mozilla does especially with the fact they want to politically censor people. This was a knee jerk reaction that probably shouldn't have happened.....

Re: What browser are you using to browse I2P and why?

I use Firefox most of the time. Firefox has tab environments that keep the various connections in the browser separated from each other as groups, a local translation program that can now also translate from Russian and many other useful things that I wouldn't want to do without. Don't you know tha...

Re: How do you increase your share on I2Pd?

Are you sure your phone does not suspend the i2pd app when you're not using it? You may check by trying to access your phone i2pd from the laptop at different times. Is there a way to use your phone AS a I2P Hotspot Tunnel? I'm probably going to have to SSH Into it which could require rooting the p...

Re: Issues with the I2Pd mobile app on Android (low tunnel creation success rate).

Good news everyone!

I decided to use inviZible Pro for the first time and after 8 minutes of use, I got 46% Tunnel creation success rate!

I couldn't find any infomation on excluding apps without excluding everything on Orbot so I might like inviZible Pro...

Re: Why would I2P allow outproxies if it's not even recommend to use one anyways?

Wouldn't it make using a outproxy more private if you randomly cycled between different outproxies?

Is there a way to do this automatically? Maybe a service that does this for you with may publicly known outproxies?

Re: How do you increase your share on I2Pd?

My phone actually has pretty good battery life since I run it with power saving mode on all of the time. With 45% of my battery, I still have 10 hours of battery life left. And even though I excluded I2Pd from having battery optimizations, it uses 0.5% of my battery. So having it use 1% by this chan...

Re: How do you increase your share on I2Pd?

So something like my phone may be better to use as a contributing router than my laptop?

What parameter needs to be configured in i2pd.conf || tunnels.conf? I wasn't able to find it in the documentation.

Why would I2P allow outproxies if it's not even recommend to use one anyways?

I2P was never made to use outproxies to access the clearnet. But that has never stopped people from trying anyways. On the official I2P website (alongside other sources), they state that I2P was never made for use with the clearnet and they even redirect you to Tor for clearnet useages. http://i2p-p...

What makes it hard for new users to join I2P? What could be turning them off?

In the past, I would have said the fact that you have to start I2P and then configure your browser to use the proxy. This can turn off a lot of non-tech savvy users. But that has been mainly eliminated by the Browser bundle (for windows users). So my second guess would be the fact that you have to w...

How do you increase your share on I2Pd?

On the Java-I2P router, they give you a convenient way of increasing your share via a browser based user interface. They even automated this by basing it on your internet speed! But I don't see that on I2Pd. What kind of configuration is necessary to increase your sneed above your feed? All help is ...
