2.8.0 Schedule

Sorry if I am springing a schedule update on everybody, hopefully nothing here is too much of a surprise, we discussed a release in early February 2 months ago but did not settle on dates. I am proposing these dates as our next month's schedule:
Major Changes: January 8, 2025
Tag Freeze: January 24, 2025
Release: February 3, 2025
If anyone has any issues with those days please let me know either on this thread or in IRC.
